I'm so excited to finally launch Humble Abodes! It has been a secret dream of mine to have a business focused on interior design, home décor, and all the related things that go into making our houses homes.
As a little girl, you could find me exploring my creative side through music, art, and crafts which reflected in my adult life means DIY, home projects, and having my home decorated for whatever season we're in. With a good chunk of my adult life as a single on a limited income, making smart, affordable choices was always my first priority. My home is full of furniture and décor dating back to my childhood (yes, both the dressers in my master bedroom were used in my nursery) to the present - many having been repainted or re-purposed multiple times over the years. I share this because that is the heart behind my purpose here at Humble Abodes.
I want to help you design and transform your rooms and homes in a way that is affordable, beautiful and fully reflective of your lifestyle and budget. Hiring a designer or decorator is expensive. For the "everyday family", an interior designer is a luxury that you would probably decide forego to use that money for something more practical, am I right?
In full transparency, I don't have formal training in the field of interior design, but I do believe in the quality of my work & skills. And I'm confident those closest to me would agree (and I will probably ask some of your for some testimonials or quotes soon!) My rates are below the standard pricing for the field because our spaces impact us in huge ways and making sure that impact is positive should be accessible for everyone, whether you are renting, in your first home, or building your dream home.
